2 Chronicles 6:28-40<\/a>
<\/span><\/p>\n

Solomon\u2019s Prayer to God is sincere and specific. It is direct because of his relationship with the God of the universe. Solomon knows that we all will have our individual prayers and burdens we bring to the Lord and he collectively asks God to give them what they ask. He is confident that God hears us because He knows our hearts.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Lord is Lord of all, not just of us \u201cchildren of God\u201d. We should pray that God answers the \u2018prayers\u2019 or requests of even the unbeliever so that all the people of the earth will know Him and come to believe in His powerful name.<\/span><\/p>\n

Solomon knew that we would battle against each other during these times and he requested that God maintain their cause, which as children of God is supposed to be His cause. Let Your will be done O Lord.<\/span><\/p>\n

Lastly, Solomon asked for the forgiveness of sins for His people. He knew that during this season we might come to the end of ourselves, and he prayed that when this happened we would repent and return to our God. We would do this in our worst distress, our captivity, our solitude, our quarantine, our stay at home or safer at home orders. And our great God would hear us, know that we are all still sinners, and forgive us. He would heal our land of this plague and be attentive to hearing our prayers and answering them.<\/span><\/p>\n

Our God knows us intimately and He will answer our prayers. Stay strong in the Lord and be humble.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
