Lord we come together in the unity of Your Spirit and pray collectively for those in Afghanistan.

1.That those who already believe in You would hold strong to their convictions that You are the great I AM, and that before Abraham was You were!

“The people said, “You aren’t even fifty years old. How can you say you have seen Abraham?” Jesus answered, “I tell you the truth, before Abraham was even born, I Am!” At that point they picked up stones to throw at him. But Jesus was hidden from them and left the Temple.”

‭‭John‬ ‭8:57-59‬ ‭NLT‬‬

2. For those who are one with us in Christ would continue to do the work Christ has called them to do. To preach the gospel to all nations and have faith in Christ. And to believe that Jesus really is God.

“The Father and I are one.” Once again the people picked up stones to kill him. Jesus said, “At my Father’s direction I have done many good works. For which one are you going to stone me?” They replied, “We’re stoning you not for any good work, but for blasphemy! You, a mere man, claim to be God.””

‭‭John‬ ‭10:30-33‬ ‭NLT‬

3. That others who don’t yet believe would be convicted by the faith of the believers. For the unbelievers to see the work of the Father IN those Christian believers and question their traditional beliefs and at least believe the work God has done.

“Philip said, “Lord, show us the Father, and we will be satisfied.” Jesus replied, “Have I been with you all this time, Philip, and yet you still don’t know who I am? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father! So why are you asking me to show him to you? Don’t you believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me? The words I speak are not my own, but my Father who lives in me does his work through me. Just believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me. Or at least believe because of the work you have seen me do. “I tell you the truth, anyone who believes in me will do the same works I have done, and even greater works, because I am going to be with the Father.”

‭‭John‬ ‭14:8-12‬ ‭NLT‬‬

4.  That many would be worshiping Jesus during this time each in their own way but together in Spirit.

Matthew 14:33; 15:25; 28:9, 17; Luke 24:52; Mark 5:6

5. That we would be ONE with each other and with God just as Jesus is with the Father and Spirit.

““I have given them the glory you gave me, so they may be one as we are one.”

‭‭John‬ ‭17:22‬ ‭NLT‬‬

6. That we would rejoice in knowing that Jesus created us and that we have Him and His eternal word and we are His image bearers.

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men.”

‭‭John‬ ‭1:1-4‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
